How to use Mckesson Metrix Control Solution?
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and dry them completely
- Make sure that the McKesson TRUE METRIX Blood Glucose Meter is turned off
- Shake the control solution bottle well before use
- Remove a test strip from its vial and insert it into the meter. The meter should automatically turn on
- Touch the tip of the test strip to the control solution, allowing a small drop to form on the end of the strip
- The meter should automatically start the testing process and display the glucose level after a few seconds
- Compare the meter reading to the expected range printed on the control solution bottle. If the reading is within the expected range, then the meter is functioning properly. If the reading is outside the expected range, then repeat the test with a new test strip and control solution. If the reading is still outside the expected range, then contact the manufacturer for assistance.
