How to use Medline Biohazard Sharps Disposal Containers?
- Connect the lid to the base of the sharps container by snapping the grooves of the lid to the top rim of the base. Secure the lid by applying pressure to the front and the back of the lid.
- Once the lid is secured, place the sharps container in its respective cabinet holder or bracket with the opening of the flap facing you.
- Drop used sharps into the opening of the lid in a horizontal manner.
- When the contents of the container meet the indicated full line, you are ready for disposal. To do so, completely pull the two tabs on the lid’s right and left sides in a forward motion.
- To secure the lid closed, apply pressure to the rounded top and snap the grooves into place. Once the lid is securely locked, it should not be able to be reopened.
- Remove the sharps container from its respective cabinet holder or bracket and dispose of waste in accordance with local regulations.
